The dream of music wasn't there in the beginning; it was building a relationship with Christ. He began to develop the dream, and I began to question it. I had let go of that questioning. I had to come to the point of saying, "Whatever it is, count me in". His path for me began to narrow. As far as His dream for me today... I'm not positive. But as far as what my call is and when it is I feel closest to Him, that is clear; music. So I continue to walk by faith. His word says, "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
I've been making promises to get some new songs on here, but time seems to be keeping me from getting them produced. So I have added a few rough recordings. Let me know what you think of the songs.

My Testimony
Testimony. What do you think of when you hear that? Most people think of a story and a time in their life when they came to know Christ. That is true, but for me I think of what God has done in my life.
I came to know Christ at a young age. I grew up in church. My dad was a minister of music and my mom played the piano, so I've had music in my life for a long time as well. I've seen the in's and out's of small and big churches. Through it all, our God was the center. I feel very blessed to have been raised in a Christian home.
Still, there was a time in my life where I know I was not at all in His will, but, I was always in the shadows of His hands. It was as if the place where the shadow stopped, He would not allow me to go and I praise Him still for that.
I went to high school in Beardstown, Illinois and attended college in Kewanee, Illinois for equestrian science and horse science. My mom passed away in 1995 and that was the beginning of my wild years. She was the reins in my life. That in itself says a lot. I was not looking to the
Lord for my strength. Although, I thought I had a good realationship with Him, it was just not a healthy one. As I look back, I see His fingerprints many times in my life. One of those times, I had made a bad decision that involved someone I loved. He allowed me to walk around for three years before convicting me of this. For two more days God would even break me to the point of tears; even waking me several times throughout the night. It was probably some of the most awesome feelings I have had, still to this day. Even though He was convicting me, His grace and warmth
were unbelievable.
So, I truly laid my will and my life in His hands. I can tell you I had no idea of what a healthy realationship with Christ felt like until then.
Have you ever been so scared and found yourself dragging your feet, but knowing exactly what to do? That would be the Holy Spirit. Allow God to do His thing and you will be amazed at the outcome. "For this reason, I kneel before the Father, from whom His whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name.
I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power together with all the saints to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:14-19
From that time on, God slowly developed a real passion inside of me to the call of music. Many times I think, "Man, If I'd only felt this before!" But, we know that "in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him. Who have been called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
So, I am excited to share the music inside of me with ya'll. Which brings me to another step of faith. The reason I picked up a guitar in the beginning, was to learn a few old country songs to sing around a campfire, which I still do from time to time. But even in those days, I can remember being so nervous that I could barely sing. Yet, I still had the desire to go on. But why? Well, I believe it when I say I feel a call. I didn't then, but I do now. How else would I be prepared except to have pushed through those times. I wrote all kinds of songs back then too.
They all normally had a plug in for God somewhere, but it wasn't until I found a place to serve on my church's praise team that He not only deepened our relationship, but His music inside me as well.
This web page is somewhat a step of faith. A buddy of mine got it for my birthday back in April. Here again, God's timing is perfect. I finally decided I was going to buckle down and make the time to work on my music. Within that same week I was laid off for eight weeks. Scary, huh? Not really. God had provided
in advance and even grew my faith more in this call and this newly given time to get closer to Him and His music. God is good all the time.
I hope to have new stuff on here all the time. Even in trying to get the last song I thought I wanted on here, He intervened and said, "that's enough for now." Literally, the next day or so I got a call saying I was going back to work. Feeling like I really needed to scramble to get things done, it just so happened that another friend stepped in and volunteered to help me and set this page up.
So, to both of these friends, I thank you for being a tool of the Lord.
Here I am at His feet praying to do His best. That is, His best through me. God's music has really spoke to me in many different areas. I hope and pray that His music through me will speak to ya'll.

Just turn the pages like you would turn a book.
"The Rock" is meant to be a plea and a praise. A plea to the body of Christ to wake up. Don't miss who Jesus is; who He was and who He says he is in scripture. He built the church on the Rock and that Rock is Christ Jesus. So don't miss the voice of God's only Son. The praise comes from the chorus; the many names that God has and the many times He's referred to as "The Rock."
"I Will Not Be Shaken" is a prayer of David and also a prayer of mine. It comes out of Psalm 16 & 17. When you think about people of the Bible; let's just say Joseph (for that matter, someone you might know), and the many detours that life throws at us to discourage or distract, you can still see God's hand. As long as we trust that His paln is perfect and we are not shaken from Him, because He is at our right hand.
"So, hear my righteous plea and listen to my cry. Give an ear to my prayer, it does not rise from deceitful lips." Psalm 17:1

This song came out of a desire to have my life in line with God's call and a desire to sing His message in my songs. To not get wrapped up in chasing after His approval and His grace, because we're already there.
This song is an example of how even Christ was broken and and called out for God, asking if dying on the cross was really something he had to do. Then he even called out on the cross, "My God, my God, have You forsaken me?" This is an awesome example of what we are created to do.....Call out to God
This song is just a submittance of my plans to His will.
The Senior Pastor at my church, Bob Ingle, had told a story in one of his sermons about a man that was struggling to find his way. The man submitted to God's plan and his repetative prayer was "Wherever, whenever, whatever the cost, count me in." My heart was willing in the first two things, but when he got to "whatever the cost" it surprised me where my mind went. This bothered me. So, I stepped back and analyzed my heart. I immediately went to the verses Luke 11:11-13. This scripture talks about how if a child asks his earthly father for soemthing, that father desires to give the child what he wants. So how much more will our Heavenly Father give to us in love? Once again I reflected to knowing, if it's His will that's where we will be happiest. That in itself gave me pease in knowing whatever cost I may have in following Christ, the greatest cost has already been paid by Him on the cross.
Some time later, Pastor Bob was called to another church. He set a living example of following God's plan. Although in his earthly heart, he didn't have the desire to leave our church, he knew that God's plan and whatever the cost involved was best.
Through this, I was lead to write this song as a testiomony to the stories of the two men above as well as the growth I had found in my own heart. "Wherever, whenever, whatever the cost, count me in"
So as Pastor Bob also said, "if you desire God's will in your life, the quickest way to get it is to say "yes" before you are asked."
This song came straight out of worship.
I had a little riff I'd been playing around with on the guitar for a couple of days. It allowed me to go to a place of worship with no words. One morning I was in study in the gospels and felt like praising Him. I picked the guitar up and started this riff and words started coming. I wanted to capture the experience I was having, so I pushed record and just went.
I still play this song from time to time and the words may come out the same or different, but I am always moved to a deep place with Him. This is a song for you to close your eyes to and say what you're thinking; just worship.
By the way, the guitar and vocal of this song here on the website is the actual morning I spoke of above. One take.

You ever watched Shrek? You know how he talks about an Ogre being like an onion, with all the different layers? I've discovered God and His many layers are this way as well. The more intimate you allow yourself to be, the deeper your relationship goes; the more you thirst for the next layer.
